Now that it is part of the Microchips Graphic Library have you tried their code? It should be in the GraphicsConfig.h file.

I will also discuss with the factory.

I had found the GraphicsConfig.h file but it seemed to target the SSD1926 controller
I found their code for the SSD1289 in Graphics\Drivers\SSD1289.c
Being a diehard assembly programmer I'm looking though the C code and translating.
