SD042TFT with 6-Bit RGB interface

I am interfacing this display to an existing controller chip which provides a 6-bit RGB interface
I have no available micorprocessor interface.
Is it possible, using esternal jumpers to make the display default to this mode, or must I access the internal registers to do this?
Please find the new section under SDT042TFT where the 4.2" Application Note has been added.
What I meant by refering to a 6-bit RGB interface was 6-bits of each color.
Apparently I should have been referring to the 18-bit interface, of which there are two variants.
I am abandoning this thread.
