SDT042TFT with 18-bit Interface.

After seeing the application data, I understand that the interface I need is not "6-bit RGB" mut "18-bit RGB". I am using this display to replace an obsolete one, and the interface I have is:

Red (5:0)
Green (5:0)
Blue(5:0:
Enable
Clk
Hsync
Vsync
Power & Ground

That's it.

I need help connecting (and perhaps programming) the the display to work with these only signals.
This connection is not in the app notes.
Can I configure the display with jumpers or must the internal registers be set up?
If internal registers must be accessed to configure, can these be accessed via the SPI Interface?
How must the registers be set up.
