SDT028TFT End of life, cleaner, 8080 connections

Is there any information on when Displaytech may discontinue production of the SDT028TFT?  Is there any commercial products available that Displaytech recommends to clean the display window? If connecting for 8080 8 bit mode, do SPI bus (or others) need to be connected to DGND? I understand the upper data bits need to be connected to DGND.
