Addressing of LCD S128240C FC BW-3.

Dear Nikki,
I need to know about the addressing in  S128240C FC BW-3, according the  ST7529 document I understood that for highlighting pixels we need to specify line address starting and line address ending and column address starting and column address ending,
Now I need to know how to address them byte or bit? I need to draw vertical lines on the LCD i.e. columns to be highlighted as for the attached image,
Please provide sample code for highlighting the LCD in columns direction on the specified range in 0-127.
Also provide me how to address them
